Russ DeFilippis and the Burn Unit
Russ DeFilippis performs with local ACJC members as well as the ACJC Burn Unit. The Burn Unit features guitar player Russ DeFilippis and horn player Gordon Russell, as well as sidemen bassists and drummers. The Ancient City Jazz Coalition, ACJC, is a group focused on showcasing and promoting the world of improvised music in Florida's St. Johns County. Based in the Ancient City of Saint Augustine, the group offers an opportunity for self expression, whether you call it by the original name jazz or the new handles like Bop, Cool, Funk, Fusion, Latin, Post Bop, Smooth, Soul, and Swing.Russ DeFilippis

ACJC Burn Unit
The Ancient City Jazz Coalition Burn Unit plays regularly at jazz clubs in the Ancient City, including Chez L'Amour, Prohibition Kitchen and Fuzion 904. The core of the ACJC Burn Unit is Russ DeFilippis and Gordon Russell. Other members of the Ancient City Jazz Coalition are sidemen who perform with the Burn Unit regularly.
